Sophie is a qualified massage practitioner with over 9 years of experience. She works with men, women and children of all ages and with varying needs. Sophie believes in giving no-routines therapeutic massage that takes into consideration your current physical and emotional condition. She feels it is vital that the profile of stress-relieving therapies and activities is raised amongst large employers and so takes massage into the workplace with her on-site massage service.
Over the past 5 years, Sophie has been specialising in using massage to support the health of children and their families. As a qualified and practising primary teacher, Sophie is well informed and equipped to deliver the Massage In Schools Programme in local schools, so that children, their families and staff can all enjoy the 'healing benefits of massage'. She also recently qualified with Rainbow Kids Yoga to become a teacher of Kids and Family Yoga. She looks forward to bringing yoga and massage together in workshops for schools, clubs and yoga parties. She enjoys the opportunity to bring massage into the home with baby & infant massage instruction and through her work with pregnant women and their partners in labour preparation and support. She works from the perspective that our minds and bodies have an inherent wisdom and intuition. Her massage sessions and workshops are, in part, aimed at faciliting the mind-body connection as a means of enhancing our own well-being.
Sophie is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) and the Massage In Schools Association (MISA) and works within their codes of conduct. She is also a registered Distributor of Forever Living Products - the leading producers and distributors of aloe vera and beehive health and beauty products.
